Untethered
The definition of untethered is to not be physically connected or fastened to something.
The nests I used in the prints fall to the ground from the trees that where the birds secured them. The male Weaver breaks down old nests and rebuilds a new one to attract a female bird, referencing the constant cycle of renewal.
The nest's threads symbolize the invisible threads that connect us.
We might not be physically connected or fastened to our homes, parents, or family members (untethered). Still, we are connected with a more profound knowledge of where we came from and how the meaning of home shapes our identity.
